Farmer's Insurance Company was established by Thomas E. Leavey and John C. Tyler 1928. At the present timer it is based in Los Angeles, California.

Farmer's Insurance Company employs more than 18,000 people. The slogan of the company is: "Gets you back where you belong". The company provides insurance management services. Farmer's is the third largest American insurer. It sells its policies in 41 U.S. states.

Nowadays the company is a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services. Farmer's Insurance Company was awarded for the best call center customer service. And since 2003 many complaints have been filed against the company.
